Sona Thacore is an accredited member of the International Coach Federation and is the owner of Milana Maternity Coaching. She has a MBus in Organisational Behaviour and has received several academic awards in recognition of her original thinking and contribution to areas such as, “Strategy, Judgement and Institution” in organisations.
Sona has also had more than 20 years’ of successful leadership, management and consulting experience, and before establishing her own company, held national executive director roles in multi-million dollar, matrix structured businesses, within the private, public and corporate sectors.
As a leadership specialist with an interest in influencing positive and progressive workplace cultures, Sona has developed an Australian first – a unique 3-phase maternity transition coaching program specifically designed to assist organisations retain their female leaders and executives before, during and after maternity leave.
Sona’s programs are effective in supporting leaders to reach their leadership potential, while simultaneously staying focused on the achievement of organisational objectives.
Keenly attuned to both linear and psychodynamic organisational frameworks, Sona incorporates individual and systemic influences within her coaching methodology and works with stakeholders with varying levels of experience, from emerging leaders to CEOs, as well as leadership groups.
The depth of her business experience, along with her expertise as a qualified coach, has enabled her to nurture a reputation for adopting an intelligent, even-handed approach to strategic implementation and professional development.
Sona is also the owner and principal consultant of MILANA CULTURAL COACHING.
In addition, she volunteers as a ‘Transition To Work’ mentor for Fitted For Work, a non-profit organisation that helps women experiencing adversity break through barriers to get and keep work.
